Created in 1870 by Maurice Hennessy, Hennessy X.O was the first cognac ever labelled Extra Old and remains one of the most iconic expressions from Maison Hennessy. Deep, powerful and rich in character, X.O is a symbol of French cognac mastery and timeless sophistication. 

A Historic Blend of Depth & Complexity

Hennessy X.O is a carefully crafted assemblage of more than 100 eaux-de-vie, drawn from all six Cognac crus and aged extensively in French oak barrels. This long maturation gives X.O its deep amber colour and layered profile, where richness and roundness harmonise with intensity and elegance. 

Tasting Notes

Appearance:
Deep amber with warm mahogany reflections. 

Nose:
Complex and expressive, with aromas of candied fruit, dried figs, subtle spice, dark chocolate and oak. 

Palate:
Full-bodied and richly textured. A harmonious blend of dried fruit, cocoa, leather, warm spices and vanilla, supported by smooth oak and a refined structure. 

Finish:
Long, warming and persistent, lingering with spice, wood and nuanced sweetness.
