Cognac Park Extra is the quintessential expression of the House’s philosophy: purity, elegance, and a modern approach to tradition. This "Extra" quality is a prestigious blend of the oldest and most refined eaux-de-vie in the Park cellars. While an XO must be aged for at least 10 years, Park Extra far exceeds this requirement, utilizing spirits that have reached their absolute peak of maturity after decades of patient rest.

The Prestige of the Premier Cru

At Cognac Select, we highlight the exceptional terroir of this expression. Park Extra is a 100% Grande Champagne cognac. The chalky soils of this Premier Cru produce spirits with incredible longevity and complexity. By using a minimalist distillation process—without lees—and aging the liquid in fine-grained, lightly toasted Limousin oak, Park ensures that the natural finesse of the grapes is never masked by heavy wood influence. The result is a cognac that feels light on its feet despite its immense age.

Tasting Notes

Appearance: A radiant, deep gold with warm amber and mahogany highlights.

Nose: Extraordinarily complex and inviting. It opens with an elegant array of dried fruits (apricots and prunes), followed by exotic notes of coconut and passion fruit. As it breathes, sophisticated scents of cigar box, sandalwood, and a subtle "rancio" emerge.

Palate: The texture is remarkably silky and supple. On the palate, it reveals a rich harmony of honey, vanilla, and dark chocolate. The mid-palate is structured yet airy, showcasing a perfect integration of oak tannins and fruity freshness.

Finish: Long, clean, and memorable. It leaves a persistent trail of sweet spices, dried flowers, and a final, elegant touch of licorice.
