The Camus VSOP Borderies is a standout Single Estate Cognac, produced exclusively from the family’s own vineyards in the heart of the Borderies cru. As the smallest and most exclusive of the six Cognac terroirs, the Borderies is world-renowned for producing eaux-de-vie with an intense floral character and exceptional smoothness. This VSOP is a celebration of that unique soil, offering a taste profile that is fundamentally different from the more common Champagne blends.

A Masterclass in Single Estate Craftsmanship

Every step of production from the sustainable vine management to the patented "Intensity" distillation is handled by the Camus family. By distilling on the lees and selecting the most aromatic fractions of the hearts, Camus ensures that the natural violet and mineral notes of the Borderies are preserved and amplified. The resulting spirit is aged in fine-grained French oak, allowing the wood to complement rather than mask the delicate floral heart.

Tasting Notes

Appearance: A beautiful, bright orange-gold with luminous amber highlights.

Nose: Deeply enticing and floral. The first impression is dominated by the signature Borderies scent of wild violets, followed by layers of vanilla pod, citrus peel, and a subtle hint of white pepper.

Palate: The mouthfeel is remarkably supple and creamy. Lavish flavors of honeyed fruit, milk chocolate, and orange zest unfold gracefully. The characteristic floral lift of the Borderies remains present throughout, providing a refreshing lightness to the rich texture.
