Our limited edition Tribute to City of Lights – 1900 decanter contains a unique blend of eaux-de-vie from grape varieties grown exclusively in Grande Champagne. These specially selected eaux-de-vie are slowly aged in large-grain oak barrels, mainly from the forests of Limousin, then meticulously blended to create our iconic cognac. Generations of cellar masters have watched over these tierçons containing our aged eaux-de-vie. Each drop of LOUIS XIII cognac represents decades of expertise and know-how for a discovery over time with a unique taste.

The Time Collection carafe – City of Lights – 1900
The LOUIS XIII City of Lights – 1900 decanter is a limited edition of 2,000 numbered pieces. The decanter is inspired by the unique style of a 16th-century flask discovered on the battlefield of Jarnac and acquired centuries later by Paul-Émile Rémy Martin, founder of LOUIS XIII. Hand-cut by the finest master crystal makers, the City of Lights – 1900 decanter is decorated with 13 lacework instead of the usual 10, seven 18-karat gold fleurs-de-lis, a central medallion and a limited edition stopper in the shape of an inverted decanter. It incorporates NFC technology, which allows it to be registered with the LOUIS XIII Society and receive a numbered medal struck by the Monnaie de Paris.
Seal
Each numbered carafe in the LOUIS XIII Time Collection – City of Lights – 1900 is accompanied by a medal specially commissioned for the occasion and struck by the Monnaie de Paris, the oldest monetary institution in the world. Once your carafe is registered with the LOUIS XIII Society, you will receive a unique example of a genuine medal stamped with the same number.
Tasting and presentation
To serve your cognac, use a LOUIS XIII pipette to extract the amber liquid, drop by drop, as our cellar master would do. Serve LOUIS XIII cognac at room temperature in the matching exclusive LOUIS XIII glasses, specially designed to reveal each of the nuances of LOUIS XIII cognac.
Let the cognac sit in the glass for a few minutes, then gradually move closer to capture all the aromatic richness. Place a drop of LOUIS XIII cognac on your lips to prepare the palate. Finally, take your time and savor each sip.
