Paul Giraud Très Rare is one of the most prestigious expressions from the Paul Giraud estate, blending eaux‑de‑vie from Grande Champagne with over 40 years of maturation well beyond the XO classification to create a Hors d’Âge masterpiece .
Tasting Notes
Appearance (Eye):
Old-gold chestnut hue with copper highlights elegant and telling of its long maturation.
Nose:
An intense and complex bouquet unfolds: leather and cigar-box notes blend with full spices such as pepper and clove, followed by orchard fruits pear, apples, prune and floral hints of rosewater and lavender. The rancio develops beautifully with age.
Palate:
Smooth yet powerful and rounded, it unfolds orchard fruit pie, toasted notes, coffee liqueur, cigar and leather tones, finishing with a rich rancio, Sichuan pepper, and sandalwood complexity.
Finish:
Exceptionally long and velvety, offering lingering spice, leather, and tropical fruit echoes.
